Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (note: I have a fan-assisted oven, I don't know how a non-fan-assisted oven changes things).
  2. Put the salted butter in the bowl and soften it up (I put it in the microwave for a few seconds at "defrosting" power), needs to be soft but not molten.
  3. Mix the soft salted butter until it's kinda like a paste.
  4. Crush the garlic and mix it with the butter.
  5. Add a lot of parsley and mix it. The mixture should have a lot of green when fully mixed, so you can be heavy-handed with adding parsley.
  6. Lay the baguette down and cut into slices about 2~3cm in length, but only cut about ~75% of the way for each one, so that the bottom of the baguette still holds all the slices together.
  7. Spread the butter mixture in each cut, so that it roughly cover each side of each slice.
  8. Bake in oven for 10 minutes (note: again, fan-assisted oven).
  9. Remove from oven and let it cool a bit.
  10. Finish cutting the slices to separate them.
