I got reminded that I like doing lil writeups to recommend animes I like to friends, but I'm running out of friends to describe them to.
It's not a proper clean page, I'm kinda just winging a few I have in mind.
Written 20/07/2026.
Probably won't update that but you'll see in the future I guess.
Girl loves books, but dies. She gets isekai'd as a sickly poor child in a fantasy medieval world, where books are a luxury.
Since she can't read her dear books in that situation, she decides to try to make her own. And then it gets more complicated.
I loved the series enough to buy some of the books (and then the publishing company that did it in french went bankrupt), really love it.
It gets less and less about making the books and more about the politics around it as it goes on, but I still like it.
The current season (4?) has some weird pacing with a lot of "and after doing that offscreen", but I still like it.
Wonder if the books at that stage were like that or if they are trying to condense plot to reach a certain point by the end.
Fantasy world where the kingdoms are enclosed by the territories of powerful Beasts. A group of heroes is sent to kill one of them (Clevatess) and they obliterated.
Clevatess, being angry at being attacked one too many times, goes to destroy the kingdom that sent those heroes. In the ruins a mother desperately asks him to spare her child, and he agrees out of curiosity.
He resurrects one of the heroes (Alicia) to force her to help raise the child, and decides to go learn more about humans while she guides him on what humans do. Words hard bwaaa.
Really liked season 1, season 2 is not what I expected to follow up but I wanna see where it goes. Also Alicia cool girl!!
2 girls at some hellish rich "young ladies" school, one that has abandoned fighting games, the other that is secretly playing them at the school (it's forbidden).
The former discover the latter's secret and they do yuri together (ie playing fighting games).
I like it so far even if anything in the school pisses me off (currently at episode 2).
Heard a lot of good about the manga so I'm hoping the focus will shift more to the fighting game stuff as it goes on.
Some asshole HR person gets killed by someone he fired, but before his death, a god (Being X) asks him:
-Why did you never believe in me?
-Because gods are just empty hope from people in bad situations, which is not me, lol.
-Oh... so if I put you in a Bad Situation, you'll believe in me? :)
-Wait no wait...!
He gets reincarnated as an orphaned girl (Tanya) in Not Germany at the start of WWI but with magic (not a great situation), and since her magic is good she is guaranteed to be drafted.
She will get kicked out of the cycle of reincarnation (I think?) unless she either believes in that god (she's too petty to do that) or dies of a natural cause (difficult with a big war).
There's something fun about seeing that petty squabble between those 2. Tanya basically going "Fuck you!" as she manages to win battles after battles,
and Being X replying "No, fuck you!" as it actively makes the war worse because Tanya is doing too well. Like a mix of being both happy when she gets a win and happy when she gets screwed over.
Running out of writing juice, so I'll fill that later. I have asterisks on several of them to say there's a "but" in the "I liked these", but will elaborate later.
